Pregnancy Week 12

Nails have been lengthened on hands and feet. Nerve system has been grown up, and reflexes have been improved in fetus. When we reached Week 12, uterus has continued to grow up to the upside and enter s abdominal area by going outside of pelvis. Since it will not make a serious pressure over bladder, the demand for toile has been decreased. This situation continues until the last three weeks. Headaches and vertigo complaints have been frequently observed. The hazard of abortus has been drastically decreased. When your doctor has explained this fact to you, like most of the mother candidates, you feel yourself more comfortable. Since gingiva have been adversely affected from pregnancy, it would be quite better to see your dentist for a common control. These weeks are quite convenient for dental controls.

By the start of this week, your baby inside cannot be called as embryo yet. He/She is an enormous fetus who length is approximately 3 cm. The most critical stage of the pregnancy is over right now. At this week, brain continues to develop at a faster pace and the head forms almost half of the fetus’s length. The eyes of the fetus are closed and under these eye lids, iris layer continues its development. Since the urethra production starts in kidneys the amount of amnion liquid where the baby floats increases. This will be as of 50 ml. a week.

Your uterus has grown up to the size of a grapefruit and even stays in pelvis. An increase in appetite is seen since the number of nauseas has been decreased. At the end of this week, your baby has finished the organ development period called “organogenesis”. In the remaining part of the pregnancy, these organs mature.

At these stages, fluctuations in the sensibility of the mother candidate are observed frequently. You might feel yourself melancholic and sometimes very happy. This is a quite normal situation. You have to be sure that you are getting enough flour for your baby’s teeth and your gingivae. Since your blood volume has increased, you might observe darkening in veins close to your skin. This situation is clearer particularly on legs and breasts. You are gaining weight either. It could be expected to see that the frequency of nausea and disgorging begins to drop.

9. Week

Embryonic tale has been disappeared yet. Cartilage and bone tissues begin to form. Intestines begin to migrate to the abdominal region within the umbilical cord. Brain is still the largest organ. Baby starts to float in the water and moves gradually.

Your second period has also been delayed. Even if there is no significant change in weight, breasts grow up, fullness and sensitivity occurs.  You may start to wear support bra at that stage. There might be burns because of stomach’s content sneaking through the throttle. At that stage, daily calorie requirement has increased almost 300 calories. In order to get the sufficient level of calcium, you should drink too much milk. If you do not like milk, you may consume special medicines or better to consume some dairy products like fatless cheese.

Your baby is still called “embryo” terminologically. The reason for this is the bulge similar to a tail at the bottom. The only contracting part in your ever growing baby is that bulge. Other parts continue to grow at a faster pace. Particularly, brain and head continue to grow up faster. Eye lids can be realized as shapes of curves. Lower chin begins to appear. Spinal cord continues to develop. Upper palate differentiates. The end of nose has formed. Teeth begin to form under gingivae. Throttle differentiates and separates from trachea. Valves are realized within the heart. 4 chambers of the heart can be realized. The lungs are located at two opposite sides of the throttle. Kidneys begin to form. The arms begin to lengthen in a cylindrical shape and hands form at the edges. Nerves transmission starts in arms. Arms begin to form curves which will form the elbows in the future.

You do not still feel yourself as pregnant. Do not care. We have too much time and things to live. For instance, your uterus which was as big as your fist has become as big as an orange. This growth in the uterus results in cramps in abdominal region. You may feel yourself as you were in your adolescence period because due to hormonal changes, your skin will begin to change.  An oily skin and acnes are most common symptoms of this. Your psychological situation improves and you have started to admit your pregnancy. You get used to your pregnancy since then.
